I have always thought the logos with black backgrounds had a certain high class look to them. Your mock ups look great, and I’ll have to consider you for logo design for my website.
Logos are tricky and you have nailed it with this one. I definitely need to work on mine.
I love the dark background logos too. I would think those are harder because so many backgrounds are lighter or white. Having a good logo is so key.

These are really nice logos, but for some reason the lighter logos have always caught my eye. I suppose for me it just depends on the mood you’re trying to set on your site.
